This is book two of this series, told in dual first person POV and leaves you on a cliffhanger. You cannot read this book as a standalone, it picks up where book one left off. This is a dark romance and not intended for the faint of heart. Daemon is slowly stealing my heart. I still want to hate him when he lets his jerk side out towards Elisa at times. As I’m getting to dive deeper into his thoughts, I can understand why he is being the way he is. I like Elisa in the first book, and I still like her in this book. I still don’t like that she is letting her fear rule her but I am starting to see her tough side come out, I’m hoping in this next book she fully embraces her tough side and becomes the person I know she truly is. There is a new soldier in Daemon’s crew and I’m on the fence with her. I want to love her because she is everything I love about a female character, but I still have a pit in my stomach that she will disappoint me. Things are definitely heating up in the plot department and I’m on the edge of my seat waiting to see how it unfolds and get some answers on the reasons to certain actions. I cannot wait for the next book to come out!

WOW!!!! I was hooked on this story right from the start what a dark twisted intense rollercoaster ride, full of suspense, mystery, deception, secrets, lies, violence, danger, manipulation, abuse, steam, it's action packed to the end. Eliza La Rosa & Daemon Petrov two very damaged souls have suffered so much from family my heart went out to her at the things her father Alexander would say to her, the abuse he took from his dead father for years, he lashes out when feeling betrayed by her which makes her heart break for them both. I definitely recommend to get this extremely well written on the edge of your seat story so much happens between Elisa & Daemon him not sure he can trust her, his enemies are circling, his mother Lillian is a real piece of work what's she really up to, I loved Tilda his new soldier recruit, Daemon on finds something at Elisa's that make him turn on her, will he let her explain is this their end, it's a must read you can't miss getting. I'm so looking forward to the next book in this amazing series especially after that shocking cliffhanger to see what's going to happen.

WOW! This series is so good This is one heck of a dark romance. Daemon is an anti-hero to the max. You aren't sure if you want to root for him or not. Elisa is tortured physically and mentally by her father and his horrific nephew. But Daemon is there to protect her. I'm torn about their relationship. He's awful to her, but it seems to turn her on. Then he's kind to her, and that makes her heart flip. You have to feel awful for Elisa. The girl is smart, but keeps getting herself into positions that cause her nothing but pain. The next book looks like it will be Daemon and Elisa against the Mafia World. Because they may be the only people they can trust. I needed a day to decompress from this book. Nicole has a winning series here . . .

A very well written dark and dirty romance. Nicole York brings the heat and passion full force. I highly recommend this crime family drama.

This is an amazing story! Daemon and Elisa have a love hate relationship one in which he can't trust her because she has shown her hand when it comes to her family. She is caught in the middle being born into a mafia family with a ruthless father she has no choice of complying with her father wishes because if she doesn't it is eminent death. She has feelings for her husband as well will they resolve their issues and get their chance for happiness. I can't wait for the next book to see how it ends for Daemon and Elisa.

Oh my heart is racing. If this series does not get your heart pumping nothing will! It has suspense, drama, hot romance and bad boys! Can’t wait for more.
